More Than Just Talk:  A Journal for Girls Introduction

Welcome to a fresh, new journal-

a place for you to spend a lot of time with God, with yourself, and with your deepest feelings on the things that matter most to you in life.

There aren't any hard-and-fast rules about how to use this book.  It's pretty easy to figure out, really.  It comes with plenty of room to run with your thoughts and ideas, to let them dive, dip, and swirl here and there, catch their breath, then land someplace a few pages over.  But we've also made sure you're not just writing into thin air.  You'll always know where you are and where your going.

It's gonna be fun!

But it'll also be fairly revealing-if you're willing to be honest with yourself.  It'll show you where your actions are trailing off from you r beliefs, where your attitudes are stopping short of being godly, where your  excuses are very clever but still a long way from being good reasons. 

That's why, hopefully, this journal will also be healing.  It could be that some of theses issues will cross your mind with their fingernails out, and their sharp edges grating on your tender spots, their remembrance always bringing with them faces and failures and pains too deep for words.  In that case you'll find the refreshing Word of God flowing like cool water into your life, reminding you how deeply you are loved, how certain you can be of His forgiveness how alive and possible you future really is.

And should your words run dry, move on to something else.  Don't let anything keep you from meeting with God, enjoying the reality of His presence, and experiencing the freedom of letting Him rule you-heart and soul, head to toe.

Most books are about reading.  But this one's about talking.  And listening.  And writing and exploring.  So open up wide and let the words blow in.  They'll come to you as you think, pray, and ponder.  They'll spill out and run over and creep into the margins.  And as you scribble down what's on your mind, ask God to make your words become His thoughts, flowing through you with a blend of grace and firmness that lets you Savior of yours is real, and active, and immersed in every second of your life know-this

Come express yourself.  Enjoy yourself.  Yada Yada!
