2. Krisi

Well, it’s that time of year again where I prove to the Internet world just how much free time I have. I attempted to justify this Halloween photo shoot to my husband as a way to connect with my tween readership, but just between you and me, I would have done it anyway. Even so, I think he’s a bit worried about me.
So, ahem, this is for your daughters. And since we don’t believe in handing out tricks on Halloween, we have a treat for you. Lexie and Scout want to know what your daughter will be dressing up as for Halloween. Reply back and let them know and they’ll draw two winners on Monday morning. Each winner will receive a signed copy of Between or TeenVirtue, their choice. Who knows, maybe even Scout and Lexie will sign it!

My 12 year old will be a Pumpkin for her marching band parade and then an orange m&M with some friends for trick or treating. My 14 year old will be a box of popcorn! Both so very cute!
Love the pics!
Jill
My 14 year old is going to be a referee (with whistle of course). My 12 year old wants to be Lala the teletubby (don’t know where that came from) and my 6 year old is going to be a clone trooper.
My nine year old daughter was going to be a pirate but she changed her mind and now is going to be a hippie.
Despite the fact that many of the 7th grade girls at my daughter’s school are getting trashed out in their costumes, my daughter is having fun being a nerd, complete with sweats pulled up to armpits, shirt buttoned out of alignment, glasses with tape and calculator in pocket. Now if only I could find one of those helicopter hat thingies.
My 7 year old daughter will be a ladybug. We cant dress up our dog because he will just eat his costume. He will do his imitation of Cujo everytime someone rings the doorbell, though!
Victoria will be a beautiful version of Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). She is 10 and we are so happy that she still wants to dress up like a princess.
LOVED the pictures of your dogs. Our baby girl (miniature solid black daschund puppy) will be an angel on Saturday complete with a set of white fluffy angel wings. My 8 year old son is Indiana Jones…..and boy does he “have the look”.
We have 6 girls, but only two of them are old enough to fall into the tween/teen category. Beth, age 13, is going to our church party as Little Red Riding Hood. Catey, age 11, is going as a 50′s girl.
My 12-year old is dressing as a hippie; and my 8-year old is Super Girl.
My 9 year old daughter is going to be a Cat Princess.
My nine year old daughter is going as a “disco” girl from the 70′s.
My 5 year old daughter will be going as SuperGirl! She’s immensely frustrated that boys don’t know there is a Supergirl…not just man. But that’s ok….we believe that God made her to be a Supergirl in behavior and words as well as dress up!!
10- year old twin girls – one wants to be a Jedi and one is going to be a clown. Yes, they are very different
My 13 year old will be dressed as a gypsy. The funny thing is that her costume comes from my closet! Not the haven’t worn in 5 years section either, no, the straight off the Macy’s bohemian rack. Actually, even the bangles, earrings, and head wrap are part of my regularly worn accessories. Gotta love being 40!
My 10 year old wants to be Luna Lovegood, a character from the Harry Potter series.
My 12 year old is going to be a big baby complete with tweety bird footie pajamas and a big bib. My 13 year old is going to be a “hip” mummy with purple and black tights and a black tu-tu. My 8 year old son is going to be a football player. We love to dress up for Halloween or any other occassion we think we can get away with…LOL
I have a 9th grader, Bethany, who is a very girly girl and is a cheerleader. She isn’t dressing up this year.
BUT – her younger sister, Carly, who is in the 6th grade, and is a polar opposite (tomboy) -is dressing up as HER OLDER CHEERLEADING GIRLY GIRL SISTER Bethany. Carly will be wearing one of Bethany’s middle school cheerleading uniforms, and Carly is going to spray paint her hair red and straighten it like her older sister. She will wear braces like her older sister (haven’t figured out the best way to make braces yet), and paint on freckles and wear makeup. And OF COURSE add the Betty Bow Head Bow on top of her head as cheerleaders do. She is so excited to go to church and tell everyone she is dressed up like BETHANY!!! Bethany is a great sport – and thinks this is all funny!!! Love your doggie pictures!!
My 9 year old daughter is going to be a genie!
5 (and a half) year old Nova will be going as a Renaissance Queen dressed in royal blue. She was able to wear her costume to her ballet class yesterday and LOVED dancing around with her hoop skirt.
My 10 year old daughter is going to be Pocahontas.
My 10 yr old daughter is going as the game “twister”.
My oldest daughter(12) is going as “Tinkerbell”. All of her friends were supposed to be Disney princesses, but they bailed. My youngest daughter (9) just decided last night to be Rebecca Bloomwood, from “Confessions of a Shopaholic”…
I have a couple of insects! My 13 year old is a butterfly with beautiful wings and my 14 year old is a ladybug, red with black spots on her wings. CUTE!
My 22 year old son dressed up as Stephen Colbert last year. Does he qualify for the give-away drawing?
My 3-year-old daughter will be dressed as ghost princess of the flowers. A fight that I sort-of lost with my husband about nothing “evil”, so I’m allowing a white face, since my little girl lost the fight on a witch, I am allowing her second wish of a somewhat ghost. Then she wanted to be a princess and a flower. So, we’re just mashing it all together!
My daughter is going as a Braves fan!
My 12 year old will be dressing up as a cow girl…totally NOT her! She is not girly by any means, but not tomboy either. Our church has “Fun Night” an alternative to Halloween. It is for babies thru 5th grade. She is a little bummed out that she is too old to go thru the candy line, but will have a great time working the itty bitty city games for the little ones
BTW, love the dog’s costumes!! My Max will be a dressed hot dog this year complete with mustard, ketchup and relish! LOL
God Bless!
My 12 year old is going as a black cat, and my 10 year old is going to be a rock star.
I have two daughters.. one is going as spaghetti and the other is going as meatballs… they are loving it.
My 13 yr old daughter is dressing as Batman(girl), my 10 yr old daughter is a very cute pirate (with a tu-tu) and my son 4 is also a pirate(no tu-tu)but cute as ever!
My daughter is dressing up like a hippie for a highschool activity at our church.
My 5th grade daughter is dressing up as a high school cheerleader to attend a Fall Festival at a local church and also a get together at a friend’s home.
Oh my goodness aren’t they sweet?
My teen girls are geared up for this weekend.
They are dressing in 1920′s flapper fashion. They are into drama and music…..they’ve been inspired by a play they’ve been working on.
This is fun! My 11 and 14 year-old daughters think it will be hilarious to dress “retro” from the 1980′s. Our 4 year-old is dressing up as a bat. She thought of it all by herself.
My 7 yr old daughter will be dressing up as Disney Princess “Belle”. My sons will be “Batman” and a cowboy! What a trio.
My 12-year-old is dressing in 80′s.
(Sad to think that my standard clothes in high school is now a Halloween costume – lol)
We have been studying Esther in church so my 10 year old is dressing up as Esther. She came up with the costume all by herself!
My daughter will sharpay from High School musical. She has the blonde hair for it but not the “attitude”.
My 11-year-old daughter, Madeline, is going as “Erkel” from the show “Family Matters”! She’s into “retro” and “old school” shows like “Cosby” and “Full House”. Makes a mama feel good to recycle fave shows from my childhood!
My 12 year old is going as a Queen and her 9 year old sister is going as a Princess. Yes, the older one pulls rank even on Halloween!
We don’t actually trick or treat we have a Trunk or Treat at church so we dress up for that only.
My 7 year old was a cat and my 5 year old was a Renaissance Princess.
Brooklyn just came home from the doctor the day before Halloween, so she changed her costume from a “theatre floor” to be “a doctor” and she will wear the “mask” the docs gave her when we left the office in case she has H1N1!
She is feeling much better by the way! =)
My almost nine year old is wearing a poodle skirt and as she calls it “being a 50′s girl”.
My 9 year old daughter is going as a box of “Puppies for Sale.” She has a black sweatsuit, black puppy dog ears, and a painted puppy face. We cut a hole in a box, attached some of her stuffed dogs, and put a sign on it that says, “Puppies for Sale.” So cute…and so simple.
Hello
How are you? This is Rachel’s daughter. I am in the 6th grade& I am going as a softball player! Softball is my favorite sport!
The doggies are too cute! Our Chihuahua is going with us. Skippy is going to be a hotdog. lol
One of my 7 year olds will be a cat, the other 7 year old will be a dog, and the 10 year old will be an elephant for AWANA Noah’s ark night tomorrow night. We plan on having a costume party next Friday for all our friends. The 10 year old may dress up as something else (She’s not sure what, but we have no shortage of dress up.) And my 12 year old is thinking of being an Egyptian princess (but is willing to change based on what clearance costumes we find!).
Jessica is an Indian, Mikayla was a nerd for the church festival and a pioneer girl to trick or treat, and Rebecca was a cowgirl. And we all got too much candy!
My 9 year old went as a Nurse-her future occupation choice. My 5 year old as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I think she might want to be a princess when she grows up too, so I guess both went as their future hope!
I am being a Sugar Baby candy. Happy Halloween!! (And for your daughter, Merry Christmas!)
Cassie, my 9 year old daughter went as Becca from Barlow Girl. She loves Barlow Girl!!
